About The Position

Visa USA Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Data Scientist (multiple openings) in Washington, DC to: Responsible for design, development and delivery of personalization models and signals to fuel AI products and services on a global scale. Execute data science capabilities in the personalization space. Design and develop large-scale data science systems. Foster innovation and experimentation within the team. Apply advanced data science techniques to drive business impact. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies. Develop and maintain expertise in multiple programming languages and data science tools. Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data science capabilities. Communicate complex technical concepts and results to stakeholders. Influence business decisions with data-driven insights. Up to 10% domestic travel required. Position reports to the employer’s Washington, DC office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Data Scientist-related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Data Scientist-related occupation.
  • Position requires experience in the following:
  • Deep Learning.
  • Machine Learning.
  • Recommendation Systems.
  • Generative Models.
  • Statistical analyses.
  • Python and Spark.
  • Scikit-learn and experience with a deep learning library (Tensorflow, PyTorch).
  • Working with real-world data sets and building scalable models from large-scale data.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate data science capabilities and communicate complex technical concepts/results to stakeholders.
