About The Position

The Sr. Director, Cloud and Data Services is responsible for the technology that enables XiFin’s production SaaS offerings. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and analytics services that support secure, reliable, and scalable healthcare technology solutions.

This leader will design, implement, and manage modern data and cloud architectures while guiding teams responsible for infrastructure, platform reliability, and enterprise data services. The role requires deep technical expertise in database technologies particularly Oracle and cloud infrastructure, along with the ability to drive enterprise-level technology strategy and execution.

As a senior engineering leader, you will work closely with cross-functional partners across the organization to support key business initiatives, ensure platform resilience, and maintain strong security and compliance standards. You will lead teams of talented engineers and infrastructure professionals while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

You may be hired as a Director, Sr. Director, or AVP based on your depth of skill and breadth of experience.

This position will be located at our offices in San Diego, CA.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in data services management, including extensive experience with Oracle database technologies.
• 5+ years of experience managing cloud services, including platforms such as Azure and AWS.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise infrastructure or platform engineering organizations.
• Experience designing and managing high availability, disaster recovery, and scalable infrastructure environments.
• Experience supporting secure SaaS platforms and enterprise data environments.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with healthcare technology environments and healthcare data standards.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements including HIPAA, PCI, and SOC2.
• Experience implementing infrastructure and security programs aligned with NIST Cybersecurity Framework and related guidance.
• Experience supporting enterprise analytics and data platform services.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable cloud and data platform solutions that support XiFin’s production SaaS applications.
• Develop and maintain the cloud and data services roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technology strategy.
• Maintain a high level of expertise in cloud platforms, database technologies, and emerging infrastructure capabilities.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies and industry best practices to improve reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Design and implement infrastructure solutions that support high availability, disaster recovery, and scalable application environments.
• Establish robust monitoring and observability capabilities to detect and resolve operational issues proactively.
• Ensure infrastructure platforms support reliable, secure, and high-performance SaaS delivery.
• Lead and develop teams responsible for cloud infrastructure, database services, and enterprise data platforms.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the organization.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineering leaders and individual contributors to strengthen technical capabilities across the organization.
• Develop and evolve IT policies and procedures that protect company assets and support regulatory compliance.
• Ensure infrastructure and data services meet security, compliance, and audit requirements, including support for third-party certifications.
• Align technology operations with industry frameworks and best practices for security and operational excellence.
• Partner with product, engineering, and business leaders to ensure technology solutions support key business objectives.
• Collaborate across functions and geographic regions to support critical technology decisions and enterprise initiatives.
• Drive accountability through metrics, reporting, and operational transparency.
