We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Supply Chain to lead procurement and supply chain operations within the power generation sector. This role requires a deep understanding of procurement processes in power plants, expertise in construction methodologies related to utility substations, and strong knowledge of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in vendor negotiation and onboarding, ensuring efficient and cost-effective supply chain management.

Requirements

Extensive procurement experience in power plants and power generation environments.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies in utility substations.
Proven ability to negotiate contracts and onboard new vendors effectively.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems related to power generation.
Previous leadership experience in procurement or supply chain management roles.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all procurement activities related to power generation projects, including power plants and utility substations.
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and project requirements.
Manage vendor relationships, including negotiation, onboarding, and performance evaluation to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to understand project needs and construction methodologies specific to utility substations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to electrical systems and power generation equipment.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain to optimize efficiency and reduce risks.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
