Job Summary Plans and implements the design, manufacture, installation and/or maintenance of electrical systems and apparatus, such as electric motors, machinery controls, wiring and power systems/devices, for the generation, transmission and control of electric power. Broad range of high performance electro-mechanical and electro-optical components and sub-assemblies for the aerospace, defense, intelligence, reconnaissance, and surveillance markets. Onsite at our San Diego (Otay Mesa) location. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience
  • Engineering degree required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and tests electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems.
  • Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs.
  • Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved.
  • Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products.
  • Designs and develops new brushed and multiphase brushless DC electric motors.
  • Performs design experiments related to motor designs and develops test methods, from concept to planning and execution stage.
  • Conducts motor performance predictions by analyses of actual data and through the development of design related algorithms in addition to the existing methods.
