About The Position

The HubSpot Platform Engineer is responsible for the technical architecture, integration, and backend configuration of Holley’s HubSpot environment. This role sits within IT and focuses on system design, data connectivity, automation workflows, and platform optimization — not day-to-day marketing usage. This individual ensures HubSpot is properly integrated with enterprise systems (ERP, eCommerce platforms, data warehouse, CRM extensions, etc.), maintains data integrity, and builds scalable automation and reporting structures that support Marketing and Divisional growth initiatives. The HubSpot Platform Engineer serves as the technical owner of the platform and ensures it operates securely, reliably, and in alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration, marketing technology engineering, or CRM platform development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with HubSpot configuration and backend management.
  • Understanding of data architecture, data mapping, and system integrations.
  • Experience working within IT governance and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and integration tools (e.g.,Workato, MuleSoft, Zapier, custom integrations).

Nice To Haves

  • HubSpot Technical Certifications (CMS, Operations Hub, API, etc.).
  • Experience integrating HubSpot with ERP or eCommerce systems.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data warehouse environments.
  • Experience in B2B and B2C marketing technology ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical owner of the HubSpot environment.
  • Design and maintain scalable data structures within HubSpot.
  • Manage custom objects, properties, workflows, and automation logic.
  • Ensure system configurations support business requirements without creating technical debt.
  • Maintain documentation of integrations and data flows.
  • Design and manage integrations between HubSpot and: ERP systems eCommerce platforms Data warehouse / BI systems Website platforms Third-party marketing tools
  • Develop and maintain API connections and middleware workflows.
  • Ensure reliable data synchronization and error handling.
  • Monitor integration health and resolve failures proactively.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.
  • Define and enforce data standards and naming conventions.
  • Support deduplication, segmentation logic, and lifecycle management.
  • Partner with Data/Analytics teams to ensure reliable reporting structures.
  • Build and optimize complex workflows and automation rules.
  • Support lead routing logic and scoring models.
  • Develop backend processes that support marketing and sales enablement.
  • Ensure automation aligns with business logic and does not create operational risk.
  • Build advanced dashboards and reporting frameworks within HubSpot.
  • Support executive-level visibility into pipeline, campaign performance, and engagement.
  • Ensure data sources are clean and reliable for business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with BI teams when cross-platform reporting is required.
  • Ensure HubSpot is configured in accordance with IT security standards.
  • Manage access controls, permissions, and audit processes.
  • Support compliance initiatives (GDPR, CCPA, SOX where applicable).
  • Participate in security reviews and vulnerability remediation.
