We are seeking a technically savvy Senior Finance Analyst to support financial planning and analysis while leading financial systems, reporting automation, and technology improvements across the finance organization. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role for someone who enjoys both strategic financial analysis and improving how finance work gets done. The ideal candidate has strong accounting and finance fundamentals, is comfortable working with financial systems and data, and is motivated by mission-driven work in a nonprofit environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Information Systems or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, finance analytics, or financial systems
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Hands-on experience with financial systems (FP&A budgeting tools, QuickBooks, Qvinci)
  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, modeling)
  • Experience automating financial reporting and analysis
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently and owning projects end-to-end
  • Able to translate complex financial data into clear insights
  • Systems-minded with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Collaborative and mission-driven

Nice To Haves

  • Nonprofit accounting experience
  • Experience with FP&A system implementations or upgrades
  • Familiarity with tools such as Qvinci, Quickbooks

Responsibilities

  • Assist with annual budgeting, reforecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
  • Build and maintain financial models to support program, and organizational decisions
  • Perform variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modeling
  • Prepare clear, executive-ready financial reports and dashboards for leadership and board use
  • Serve as finance lead on financial system conversions, upgrades, and implementations
  • Support FP&A, and reporting tool configurations
  • Translate accounting and finance needs into system requirements
  • Test, validate, and document system changes
  • Coordinate with IT, vendors, and internal stakeholders on system initiatives
  • Design and automate recurring financial reports
  • Improve data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
  • Reduce manual processes through automation and improved workflows
  • Build dashboards and self-service reporting for finance and leadership
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of nonprofit accounting and GAAP
  • Partner with Accounting on month-end close, reconciliations, and audits
  • Ensure reports and systems align with accounting standards requirements
