About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, Supply Chain, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting manufacturing and supply chain performance through financial planning, analysis, and decision support. This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Operations and partners closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance / Accounting leaders to drive plant performance, cost optimization, and capital discipline. Salary $95,000– $105,000 Location Emeryville, CA – Hybrid, 3 days onsite What You Will Do: Own and support monthly and quarterly reporting for manufacturing operations, including forecasts, trend analysis, budget vs. actuals, and clear explanations of performance drivers Own and support month‑end close activities for manufacturing site, with a strong understanding of cost flows and operational drivers Partner with Operations leadership to help define, track, and improve plant KPIs Support capital and volume reporting, including tracking spend, ROI, and performance against expectations Assist with standard cost setting and ongoing maintenance, ensuring alignment with operational realities Prepare and analyze purchase price, material, and operational variances, translating results into actionable insights Analyze and drive efficiency across inventory, waste, work orders, and material usage, identifying opportunities for cost optimization Deliver ad‑hoc analyses and recurring reporting that support decision‑making across Supply Chain and Operations Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process improvements, systems enhancements, and business transformation projects Who You Are: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Early‑career professional with 1–3 years of relevant experience, including internships or rotational experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, or plant/operations finance Experience in consumer packaged goods, food & beverage, or manufacturing environments is a strong plus Exposure to cost accounting, standard costing, or plant finance concepts preferred Strong Excel skills required; experience with ERP systems (e.g., D365) and Anaplan is a plus A curious, outspoken, and collaborative thinker who is comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions, and partnering closely with operations leaders Able to clearly articulate the “why” behind the numbers and provide data‑supported recommendations Strong financial acumen with a solid understanding of P&L structures and operational cost drivers Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and motivated to improve plant performance and cost efficiency This description outlines the role’s essential functions but may evolve with business needs. The target annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the applicant’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education, certifications or licenses, other legitimate non-discriminatory business factors, and the geographic location of the role. In addition to base pay, individuals in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses. Requirements
