The Senior Financial Trader is responsible for the identification and quantification of optionality and risk in the
NEER asset portfolio. The Trader is tasked with development and execution of innovative hedge strategies to
address those risks and trade strategies to monetize the extrinsic value inherent in the assets and their contracts.
This position requires a deep understanding of power and fuel markets and an ability to assimilate information
from and work closely with multiple disciplines including: senior management, business management, financial
analysis, accounting, risk analytics, risk management, origination, power asset development, credit, finance,
commodity traders and quantitative analystsJob OverviewEmployees in this role align the energy portfolio with the portfolio strategy. Individuals direct and execute energy futures, options, and swaps and use options, forwards, and outright positions to optimize profitability and limit risk.

Requirements

• High School Grad / GED
• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
• Experience: 7+ years

• Master's - Business Administration

Responsibilities

• Identifies and analyzes price and non-price risk exposure to optimize revenues/profits and manage established risk limits
• Develops and maintains forward pricing curves
• Works with Risk Management to document, understand, and execute hedging strategies consistent with defined policies
• Coordinates with Mid/Back office documentation requirements
• Develops daily view of market direction, and implements strategies to maximize profits
• Develops asset-by-asset and regional strategies with developers, operations, traders, marketers, etc.
• Optimizes the value of our assets by utilizing defined models for valuation, positional alternatives, and execution of transactions
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
