About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Fixed Income Analyst to work with Baird Financial Advisors to find attractive fixed income investment opportunities for our clients. This includes knowledge of all traditional Fixed Income products, including: municipal bonds, corporate bonds, CDs, Agencies, etc. This person will also work closely with Fixed Income trading to identify available inventory to execute Fixed Income recommendations. Some of the day-to-day responsibilities will involve writing a daily fixed income morning update email (6:30am CT start time) to keep FAs apprised of relevant fixed income and economic data. Responsibilities also include working with FAs on account reviews, constructing portfolios or new money proposals (e.g., bond ladders), handling incoming phone calls/requests to the Fixed Income Research area, and authoring relevant educational or thought pieces on timely Fixed Income topics. Work from Baird’s global headquarters in Milwaukee, WI, with hybrid flexibility. The Impact You’ll Make: Support Baird Financial Advisors in facilitating their Fixed Income business. This includes, but is not limited to, handling day-to-day questions, researching specific credits, and researching event-driven fixed income topics. Regularly authoring commentary on fixed income markets. Performing account reviews and developing portfolio proposals, including researching specific credits as needed. Travel to Chicago once per month to meet as a broader Fixed Income team. Performs other duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring to Baird: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or other related field. 10+ years of Fixed Income industry experience, with a preference for candidates with a strong research background. Progress toward the CFA preferred. Must be SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licensed (or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire). Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong initiative and work ethic, and an ability to work well both on a team and on a self-directed basis. Experience with Bloomberg. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or other related field.
