About The Position

Hertz is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to help evolve our core CRM platform across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud. This role sits within Product and focuses on delivering scalable, high-quality solutions that power critical business capabilities across Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience. You’ll work closely with Product and Engineering teams to translate business priorities into reliable, well-designed Salesforce solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience in Computer Science / Information Technology / Web Design required
  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience in enterprise environments required.
  • Strong expertise in: Apex (classes, triggers, batch, schedulable) Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura SOQL/SOSL and data modeling Salesforce security model (profiles, roles, sharing rules)
  • Experience with Salesforce configuration: Flows, Process Builder, validation rules, page layouts
  • Experience with integration: REST/SOAP APIs, web services, external systems
  • Proficiency in web technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (strongly preferred)
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (preferred)
  • Experience with: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud implementations Integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica, Point-to-Point)
  • Data architecture, ETL processes, and large data volumes
  • Experience mentoring or leading development teams

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and platform configuration
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality technical solutions
  • Build and support integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware platforms
  • Partner with integration teams on architecture and data flow strategies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, data, and performance issues
  • Contribute to development standards, code quality, and release processes
  • Ensure compliance with code versioning, backup/recovery, and deployment practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-focused solutions
  • Document technical and functional requirements and support UAT and production releases
  • Present technical solutions and platform capabilities to stakeholders
  • Partner with third-party contractors and vendors to deliver best-in-class software solutions
  • Continuously evaluate platform capabilities and recommend improvements
  • Attain quarterly and annual objectives defined collaboratively with leadership
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to team best practices
