About The Position

The Sr. Full Stack Java Developer will support the design, development, and maintenance of web applications and systems for a federal agency. The candidate will collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to deliver secure, efficient, and user-friendly solutions in compliance with federal standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with Angular or React frameworks
• Knowledge of front-end development principles and responsive design
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing is an advantage
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Ability to work in fast-paced, secure federal environments

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Spring Boot or RESTful API development
• Exposure to automated deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins) and version control (e.g., Git)
• Experience delivering solutions in Agile environments
• Familiarity with federal compliance, cybersecurity, or government application standards

Responsibilities

• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Design, code, and maintain both front-end and back-end components for web-based and batch processing applications using Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular or React.
• Collaborate with team members and project stakeholders to troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application features.
• Conduct unit testing, debugging, and participate in peer code reviews.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and user manuals as required for federal compliance.
• Work within Agile teams and participate in daily standups and sprint planning.
• Ensure security and compliance standards are implemented and maintained.
• Respond to change management requests and support deployment to development, staging, and production environments.
