About The Position

This Senior HR Business Partner is responsible for supporting a broad group of designated departments (Merch, Marketing, Finance & Accounting and HR) as a strategic partner at the Store Support Center (SSC). This position partners with the company’s most senior executives as a trusted advisor, providing counsel and feedback, managing conflict and ensuring continuous upgrade of the leaders’ capabilities and the overall work environment. Additionally, the Senior HRBP will provide leadership, guidance and thought partnership to department leaders while also leading HR strategies and initiatives that positively impact overall business performance and HR metrics.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of progressive HR experience as a business partner to department managers and senior leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
  • Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with department and senior leadership on the planning and execution of people strategies and programs in support of the company’s mission and values.
  • Drive ownership and accountability for key business departments by providing recommendations to guide decision making for organization structure, retention, promotions, compensation, talent development, and other employee related activities.
  • Lead the facilitation of talent management reviews and initiatives, including performance management, 9-block talent reviews, and other performance management processes.
  • Consult with team members and department managers on a wide variety of issues including training needs, performance management, policy interpretations, career development, leadership skills, conflict management, and other issues impacting productivity and/or morale.
  • Provide input into the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures and their distribution.
  • Act as a change agent and champion to align HR strategy with department priorities to drive business results throughout our stores.
  • Lead thorough and confidential investigations in partnership with the Employee Relations department, managers, etc.
  • Advise managers and team members on benefits and compensation-related matters in an effort to retain key talent.
  • Hire and manage 1 direct report HR Generalist, which includes coaching, training, mentoring, performance development, succession planning, etc.
