About The Position

The Senior HR Generalist will support a respective business function by fostering leadership and organizational capability. You will work closely under the HR Business Partner to build a culture of empowering business leaders to achieve objectives. This position requires a highly experienced HR professional capable of independently managing full‑cycle employee relations (ER) matters across multiple teams and business units. You will be responsible for understanding the pulse of our employees, generating insights, identifying patterns and trends within assigned groups, and providing proactive, consistent guidance to both employees and managers. You will own ER cases from intake to closure, ensuring thorough documentation, compliance, and timely resolution with minimal oversight. Requirements

  • 5–7 years of varied/progressive HR experience with a strong emphasis on employee relations
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage and resolve ER cases, including investigations
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Experience managing ER in fast‑paced, multi‑team or multi‑location environments
  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, coaching, documentation, and problem‑solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Independently manages all employee relations cases for respective teams, serving as the primary point of contact for employees and managers; conducts end‑to-end investigations, including complaint intake, interviews, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Conducts initial employee complaint calls and completes Investigation Discovery Forms; ensures documentation is uploaded, accurate, and compliant in Workday.
  • Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solutions; and coaching and counseling managers and employees.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of Echo policies and procedures and recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Tracks ER case trends and recommends proactive solutions to business leaders and HRBP leadership.
  • Ensures Echo is in compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions.
  • Provides Manager training on key policies, HR processes, and performance management fundamentals.
  • Assist Benefits Manager with medical accommodation request emails, escalating complex or high‑risk cases to the HRBP as needed.
  • Owns and manages the unemployment process, including documentation, preparation, and participation in hearings.
  • Assists with onboarding and offboarding processes, including exit interviews and trend analysis.
  • Supports employee engagement initiatives and culture programs.
  • Assists the Benefits Manager in administering leave of absence policies and ensures compliance with FMLA, ADA, and internal requirements across the organization.
  • Assists in compliance audits and maintains accurate, complete records for all assigned ER and HR operations activities.
  • May require travel to other Echo Locations
