About The Position

The IT Director is a senior leader responsible for overseeing the organization’s technology strategy, infrastructure, security, and IT operations. This position leads multiple IT functions—including software development, infrastructure, DevOps, SecOps, and Help Desk support—ensuring that technology systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. The IT Director works closely with executive leadership to develop technological roadmaps, modernize infrastructure, and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency and scalability. This role requires a strong technical background in network architecture, cloud platforms, and enterprise IT systems, combined with proven experience leading and mentoring diverse IT teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • 5+ years in an IT leadership or management role
  • Experience managing cross-functional IT teams including development, infrastructure, security, and support
  • Strong background in network architecture, administration, and security
  • Experience designing and managing cloud environments, Azure preferred
  • Experience implementing DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
  • Experience with Security Operations (SecOps) and cybersecurity frameworks
  • Knowledge of enterprise Microsoft environments and hybrid infrastructure
  • Experience with C#, .NET and Python
  • Containerization technologies (e.g. Docker)
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Strategic thinking and technology planning expertise
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy and technology roadmap aligned with business goals
  • Lead digital transformation and modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, automation, and DevOps practices
  • Advise executive leadership on technology investments, risk management, and innovation opportunities
  • Oversee enterprise IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, hardware, software platforms, and cloud services
  • Manage and optimize Microsoft Azure environments and hybrid infrastructure
  • Ensure high levels of system performance, reliability, and availability across all technology systems
  • Monitor and improve network performance, scalability, and security
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional IT teams including software developers, infrastructure engineers, security specialists, and Help Desk staff
  • Establish clear processes, accountability, and professional development opportunities for team members
  • Ensure the Help Desk delivers high-quality support and efficient issue resolution for end users
  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity strategies and SecOps practices
  • Protect company systems and data through security monitoring, risk mitigation, and incident response planning
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, and data protection policies
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, including infrastructure investments and operational expenses
  • Evaluate and negotiate with technology vendors, service providers, and software partners
  • Manage contracts, licensing, and vendor performance to ensure cost-effective solutions
  • Lead the planning and implementation of technology initiatives and infrastructure upgrades
  • Drive adoption of Agile and DevOps methodologies to improve development and operational efficiency
  • Oversee deployment of new systems, platforms, and integrations across the organization
