Location : This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and may be assigned to any Consumers Energy Service Center located throughout Michigan's lower Peninsula. General Summary of Job Responsibilities The Senior Land Management Consultant is responsible for leading the management and preservation of Consumers Energy–owned property and easement rights in support of all land-related activities. This role manages semi-complex real estate transactions, including researching, analyzing, and interpreting property rights, as well as negotiating the terms and conditions of real estate contracts. The position is also responsible for resolving highly complex property rights issues by recognizing, understanding, and evaluating business risk as part of the decision-making process. The Senior Land Management Consultant communicates regularly with internal stakeholders and external customers and prioritizes requests and workloads associated with Real Estate Asset Management and Hydro Land Management functions. Duties may also include managing FERC-required natural resource and land management plans and serving as the primary interface between regulatory agencies, external customers, and internal stakeholders. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to serve as the primary point of contact for the management of renewable agreements, including leases, easements, and all related amendments, modifications, and releases. In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of these agreements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. The incumbent will also be responsible for budgeting, coordinating, and processing all payments associated with these agreements. This includes monitoring due dates, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and confirming that all financial commitments are met accurately and on time.
