What You Will Do : The candidate’s day-to-day activities include but are not limited to: Redhat Linux server management; storage management; file server management; access management; data backup; software and license configuration; and workstation support. Each day in the life of a Systems Administrator can bring something new – building a new IT infrastructure for a group of engineers, restoring files due to an outage, updating virus definitions and security patches, teaming with our brilliant engineers on how to improve their processes, and more.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification or the ability to obtain certification in the first 6 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Linux OS Certificate ( RHCSA / Linux+ ).
  • Experience with RHEL 7/8/9.
  • Troubleshooting skills including systemd, firewalld, and SELinux.
  • Experience with High Performance Computing ( HPC ) Environments.
  • Experience with NetApp / OnTap tools.
  • Experience with Databases including MariaDB, Oracle, and SQL.
  • Experience with enterprise logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
  • Scripting Experience (Bash, Python, Ansible) and Kickstart.
  • Experience with CIS/STIG benchmarks and DoD security standards.
  • Experience with scanning tools such as Nessus and SCAP.
  • Experience with Splunk.
  • Experience with Enterprise Active Directory (AD) & LDAP.
  • Experience dealing with Managed Anti-Virus (AV) solutions ( ClamAV & SEM ).
  • Experience hardening systems using tools like SCAP and following STIGs.
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
