About The Position

As a Senior Logistics Analyst on the Port and Facility First Mile Transportation team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring timely and efficient movement of domestic goods from U.S. vendors through Target’s consolidation and distribution network. You’ll collaborate with internal partners, third-party logistics (3PL) partners, and transportation carriers to deliver operational excellence, strengthen carrier relationships, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in speed, cost, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Economics, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of ownership and delivering measurable results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with transportation carriers or 3PL partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and KPIs to drive performance improvement.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Transportation management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize product flow from 3PL consol facilities outbound to Target distribution warehouses, ensuring on-time, cost-effective transportation.
  • Partner with carriers and 3PL providers to improve performance, efficiency, and service reliability.
  • Use data and KPIs to identify opportunities, measure impact, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to execute transportation strategies and special events with precision.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance visibility, streamline processes, and enable faster decision-making.
  • Act as a change agent—challenging the status quo and driving innovation across the inbound transportation network.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to high-impact operational events to maintain service commitments.
