About The Position

As the Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting for the Americas Region, you will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant revenue recognition for our recurring and non-recurring services. This includes reviewing contracts, applying ASC 606 and ASC 842 guidance, and working closely with billing and collections, operations, and finance teams to support the full revenue lifecycle. The ideal candidate possesses a high level of attention to detail, technical accounting expertise, and strong cross-functional collaboration, particularly in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Active CPA certification required.
  • 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience in complex, high-growth or matrixed environments, including a minimum of 3–5 years in revenue and/or lease accounting with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ASC 606 and ASC 842, including application to recurring services, multi-element arrangements, contract modifications, and complex customer agreements.
  • Strong command of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, SOX compliance, and experience operating within a public company control environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams through both hands-on execution and strategic oversight, including the ability to flex between high-level review and detailed problem-solving as needed.
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex accounting matters and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Advanced experience with accounting systems, ERPs, and close tools (e.g., Blackline, Yardi, Oracle, SAP, or similar), with strong Excel and data analytics capabilities and comfort working with large data sets and complex contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment under pressure, and drive outcomes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a large, publicly traded company strongly preferred; experience in data centers, telecom, SaaS, real estate, or other recurring-revenue industries highly desirable.
  • Experience leading or playing a key role in accounting system implementations, process transformations, or automation initiatives strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and end-to-end ownership of the revenue accounting function for Americas data center properties, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, ASC 606, ASC 842, and corporate accounting policies.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for high-risk, complex revenue matters, including the review and approval of judgmental journal entries, estimates, and complex reconciliations.
  • Lead executive-level financial analysis and insights related to revenue performance, customer and contract trends, and operational drivers, including the development and presentation of KPIs to accounting and finance leadership.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate revenue-related financial and compliance risks, ensuring timely escalation, clear recommendations, and partnership with leadership on resolution strategies.
  • Own the integrity of revenue close processes and internal controls, ensuring adherence to close timelines, SOX requirements, U.S. GAAP, and internal policies while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Apply deep technical expertise in ASC 606 and ASC 842 to complex customer arrangements, multi-element contracts, modifications, and recurring revenue models.
  • Oversee and lead internal and external audit engagements for areas of responsibility, including audit strategy, issue resolution, and communication with auditors and senior stakeholders.
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives, including automation, system enhancements, and reporting modernization, in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders to improve scalability, accuracy, and insight.
  • Provide leadership for the implementation, optimization, and governance of revenue accounting systems and tools, ensuring alignment with business growth and evolving accounting requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity and governance across subledgers, ERP platforms, and revenue systems; partner with IT and systems teams to resolve root-cause issues and strengthen system controls.
  • Build, develop, and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative, accountability-driven culture and providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor and cross-functional leader, partnering with Operations, Lease Administration, Billing and Collections, FP&A, Legal, Treasury, Tax, and Finance leadership to assess revenue implications, influence business decisions, and support enterprise objectives.
