About The Position

This Corporate Accounting position leads the domestic accounting team and is also responsible for the global consolidation process. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in technical accounting, consolidation, and operational finance, along with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills. Key responsibilities include, leading the domestic accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate financial close and reporting; managing the global consolidations process, incl uding foreign currency translation, intercompany eliminations, and equity accounting for joint ventures and minority interests; leading the domestic cost accounting function ; overseeing the domestic fixed asset activity and lease processes; managing the global capital request process and domestic cash reconciliation activities; preparing, reviewing, and approving journal entries and account reconciliations across multiple accounting areas; prepar ing monthly quarterly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including tax, financial reporting, and executive management; ensuring compliance with internal controls and testing for control effectiveness; and supporting external and internal audits, providing documentation and analysis as needed . This position will take a lead in managing projects related to acquisitions divestitures and Information Technology implementation. Additional job duties will include working on cross-functional teams , creating ad-hoc financial reporting , researching US GAAP and providing guidance on appropriate application , presenting financial results , review of other financial schedules , and oversight or assistance with other projects as needed. This position will also collaborate international financial teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of financial data. In addition, this position is responsible for mentoring and developing a team of 1-3 direct reports .

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in an academic field directly related and essential to this job Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
  • Experience: 7 plus years of progressive accounting experience
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer Skills: Working knowledge of SAP and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
  • Special Skills: Certified Public Accountant preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills are crucial to this position.
  • A good working knowledge of and ability to research GAAP accounting standards is necessary.
  • Supervisory: Supervises approximately 1 to 3 direct reports.
  • Travel: 1 to 5 domestic and or international trips per year.

  • Experience with BPC Consolidations software preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred.
