As a Data Science Sr. Manager of Marketing at CarMax, you’ll apply your passion and expertise in data, machine learning, and entrepreneurship to create data-science applications that enrich CarMax’s culture of innovation. You will be a leader in the analytic community – collaborating to develop and execute the vision for Data Science in Marketing. The Data Science Sr. Manager will serve as a technical team lead, working in a hands-on-capacity to develop vision, strategy, and roadmap to fully integrate Data Science into marketing programs. You will deliver model suite to optimize marketing investments and drive improvements to conversion, develop customized Media Mix Model to understand Marketing impact and optimize budget allocation, and model site visitor value to improve targeting and maximize return of paid digital channels. You will employ a deep command of data science modeling techniques and statistics, leveraging a variety of technologies, programming languages, and cloud computing platforms. Additionally, you will communicate with all levels throughout the organization to understand business opportunities, create new use cases for data-powered solutions, and influence adoption. You will also develop the team by delivering high quality analytics, promoting best practices, and fostering technical and professional development. Finally, you will mature our Data Science community of practice by leading and contributing to initiatives aligned to our vision, making tangible the return on investments, and championing efforts to bring the vision to life.
