About The Position

Rightway is hiring an Sr. Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of engineers building the technology that powers our platform. In this role, you will guide execution, support the growth of your team, and partner closely with Product, Design, and other engineering leaders to deliver meaningful outcomes. This role combines people leadership, technical judgment, and cross functional collaboration. You will help shape a strong engineering culture while ensuring the team consistently delivers reliable, high quality software. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing software engineering teams
  • Strong technical background building modern software systems (Node.js, TypeScript, React, or similar technologies)
  • Track record of leading teams that deliver impactful products
  • Excellent communicator who can work effectively with technical and non technical partners
  • Passionate about building strong teams and delivering meaningful products
  • Interest in modern development practices including AI assisted engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in healthcare or other regulated environments
  • Experience in fast paced product organizations or startups
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and distributed systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of engineers building modern web and backend systems
  • Drive delivery of high quality, reliable software that delivers value to our members and clients
  • Partner with Product and Design to shape roadmaps, prioritize work, and deliver meaningful outcomes
  • Provide technical guidance and help the team make sound architectural and implementation decisions
  • Support the growth of engineers through mentorship, coaching, and clear feedback
  • Promote strong engineering practices including testing, code quality, and operational excellence
  • Help scale the team through thoughtful hiring, onboarding, and continuous improvement of team processes
