You’re encouraged to break it and create something better.  OverviewThe Sr. Manager, Microsoft Cloud & Platform Engineering at Crocs, Inc. will lead a team of eight engineers covering Azure architecture, governance, Windows server engineering, hybrid compute and storage solutions, endpoint management for Windows and macOS devices, and Microsoft-first identity design. This role defines technical direction, establishes standards, and develops practices centered on security, scalability, automation, and operational excellence. The manager collaborates with Security, Networking, Enterprise Architecture, Service Management/Operations, and Application teams to deliver a modern, reliable, cost-effective Microsoft platform that enhances the user experience and supports business objectives.What You'll Do

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT or related field.
  • 8+ years in infrastructure/platform engineering, with 3+ years leading teams.
  • Deep experience in Azure architecture, governance, and cloud operating models.
  • Strong Windows Server engineering background (hardening, patching, automation, lifecycle).
  • Hybrid compute/virtualization experience (VMware and/or Azure Local/Azure Stack HCI) and on-prem storage concepts.
  • Endpoint engineering across Windows and macOS using Intune and Jamf (or comparable platforms).
  • Identity and access management experience with Microsoft identity technologies (Entra ID/Azure AD, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access).
  • Proven ability to set standards, drive adoption, and influence across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce Azure architecture and governance, including subscription strategy, management groups, landing zones, resource organization, hybrid connectivity, policy controls, RBAC, tagging, cost allocation, and lifecycle management.
  • Set operational standards for Azure, such as logging, monitoring, alerting, backup/disaster recovery, resiliency, and collaborating with Security to enhance cloud security through baseline configurations, compliance reporting, and secure patterns.
  • Lead infrastructure delivery with automation, implementing standardized templates, repeatable processes, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Set engineering standards for Windows Server across cloud and on-prem, including build, hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, decommissioning, and automated lifecycle management.
  • Enhance reliability and performance through monitoring, event/log standards, capacity planning, tuning, and partner with operations on runbooks, escalation, and change practices.
  • Direct strategy, capacity planning, performance optimization, modernization, consolidation, and lifecycle refresh for VMware and Azure Local environments, including on-prem storage.
  • Oversee resiliency through backup, replication, disaster recovery testing, vendor management, renewals, and platform cost optimization.
  • Lead endpoint strategy for Windows and macOS, including enrollment, device standards, compliance baselines, app packaging, and patch management.
  • Strengthen security posture with encryption, compliance, conditional access, and hardening; implement modern management via Windows Autopilot, Intune, Jamf workflows, and self-service.
  • Enhance employee experience through reliable builds, automated software delivery, and faster time-to-productivity.
  • Own and govern Microsoft-centric identity architecture across technologies such as Entra ID/Azure AD, including hybrid identity, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, privileged access management, role design, and automation of identity lifecycle processes (joiner/mover/leaver).
  • Collaborate with Security and application owners to modernize authentication, mitigate legacy authentication risks, and define secure, scalable integration patterns for SaaS and enterprise apps to ensure operational clarity.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of 8 engineers: hiring, coaching, performance management, career development, and culture.
  • Establish engineering excellence practices through documentation standards, reference architectures, automation-first delivery, and measurable outcomes.
  • Align cross-functionally with Security, Architecture, Operations, and App teams; communicate effectively with technical and business partners.
  • Lead platform prioritization, roadmap planning, and budget inputs; develop business cases for platform investments.
