About The Position

Vertiv is seeking a Manager for Inventory Program Management supporting the Americas region to lead and manage all inventory programs to achieve target Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO). Inventory Forecasting: Facilitate the monthly inventory forecasting process with the manufacturing sites. Drives monthly Inventory and Trade working capital reporting, preparations, and reviews with senior management. Inventory Optimization and Management: Develops and leads inventory reduction programs Establish inventory targets Manage ABC assignment process Define replenishment strategies and policies Manage inventory planning parameters Supports excess and obsolete management Follow up and track implementation of procurement lead inventory programs. Problem Solving: Conduct deep-dive trend and root cause analyses to identify improvement opportunities and support strategic decision-making. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance and Procurement to align on underlying root causes and actions plans. Project Management: Ability to manage projects related to the implementation of solutions, including creating project plans, managing resources, and monitoring progress. Reporting: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to track KPIs and business performance. Communication: Create summaries and presentations on performance, trends, and actionable insights for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial engineering, economics, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • relevant experience in materials management, inventory management and project / program management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the organization.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in inventory and materials management.
  • Strong analytical skills are needed to be able to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to the materials organization. Should be able to identify patterns, trends, and issues in the data, and use that information to inform decision-making.
  • Strong experience in data modeling, visualization, and storytelling.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business insights.
  • Able to adapt to changing business needs and priorities and be willing to learn new skills and technologies as needed.
  • Detail-oriented, curious, and proactive problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
