Job Description Role Overview: The Coated Buckets Production Control Leader is responsible for driving operational excellence and strategic leadership in production control within the Greenville materials team. This role requires a focus on optimizing production processes, aligning with business goals, and enhancing supply chain efficiency through innovative methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment) and a minimum of 3 additional years in materials, planning, scheduling, or inventory management.
  • Strong business and analytical skills, with a working knowledge of spreadsheets, including MS Excel.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials management disciplines, including production and inventory control.
  • Ability to manage changing/conflicting priorities and resolve issues effectively.
  • Capable of operating effectively within any organizational structure.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • This position is 100% onsite at our GE Vernova Greenville, SC site

Responsibilities

  • Oversee master planning activities, manage material processes and systems, and ensure operational alignment with production plans and KPIs.
  • Develop and implement rate-setting strategies based on Heijunka sequencing to ensure balanced production flow and resource utilization.
  • Develop and utilize capacity planning tools to drive collaborative action plans, supply projections, and future schedule requirements.
  • Lead capacity planning initiatives for lean production lines, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting customer demands effectively.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute the master production schedule, meeting customer needs and business objectives while maximizing supply chain velocity.
  • Manage scheduling processes to ensure on-time delivery and develop recovery plans and prioritizations to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Spearhead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for any delivery misses on lean lines, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Foster a culture of rigor around planning and scheduling processes to achieve 100% budget attainment.
  • Work closely with operations, finance, and other leaders to provide periodic fulfillment estimates and align materials management strategies with business objectives.
  • Mentor and empower team members to achieve goals related to schedule adherence and operational excellence.

  • The base pay range for this position is $104,600.00 - 174,400.00 USD Annual.
