About The Position

The job description of a Senior Sales Associate/Cashier is to assist customers in making purchases by illustrating, demonstrating, and suggesting products. He/she is also expected to ensure that shelves are stocked, and the sales floor is kept tidy. You will utilize the cash register in ringing up transactions. Lead sales associate/cashier will help with daily cash deposits by either filling out deposit slips, delivering to the bank or both. The Lead Sales Associate/Cashier will also have authorization to provide refunds to customers. Whenever you are not helping customers, you will organize product presentation, stock shelves, and update product waste/order logs. The major role for a sales associate/cashier is to engage in selling. The associate for this position must therefore be customer focused, should possess sufficient knowledge of the company’s products, and be sales oriented. Responsibilities

Ability to show up to work on time. Tardiness should be reported to the General Manager or manager on duty. Tardiness of more than 5 minutes should be reported to direct supervisor via phone call or text message.
Ability to communicate any need for time off. Requests need to be submitted two weeks in advance and cannot be made between November 1st and December 31st.
Must have ability to lift 25lbs or more.
Ability to stand/walk for 8 or more hours per shift.
Able to handle money accurately and operate a point of sale system.
Greet customers and acknowledge their needs and requests.
Have direct contact with General Manager regarding any needs or issues with front end.
Offer advice to customers with regards to services or specific products available.
Suggest merchandise choice based on a customer’s needs.
Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace.
Opens and close front end properly by following any checklists for department.
Perform any other related duties assigned by key management.
Must help with restocking drink case, chip racks, shelves throughout day.
Understands and complies consistently with Reid’s Fine Foods policies and procedures.
Must be comfortable handling money.
Authorized to handle customer refunds.
Associate will help with any inventory counts for front end.
Associate will assist General Manager with any ordering needs for the front end.
