Sr. Mechanical Designer This position is required to design ASME Code pressure vessels and systems, draft detail drawings and provide calculations and documentation for manufacture of vessels as well as all products offered by Facet. Also, to provide information, knowledge, and support to domestic, international, and inter-company sales, production, purchasing and quality control as well as provide required support to suppliers, fabricators, and customers. Employee will support this mission utilizing our Trust, Bias for Action, and Entrepreneurial Cultural Attributes.

Requirements

  • Must be knowledgeable of all Facet products.
  • This position requires very strong project management, people, and computer skills.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks Mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business-related field
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively with Management and Customer base
  • Intermediate level of MS Excel and other MS office products

Nice To Haves

  • Solid-works Professional Certification strongly Preferred.
  • General base of pressure vessel and filtration knowledge preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems, COMPRESS, and Solidworks, preferred.
  • Military Marine Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret specifications, drawings, job orders and documentation to complete duties.
  • Utilize computer-aided design system to create technical drawings of production quality.
  • Design, detail and check all drawings for vessel and aftermarket parts and systems.
  • Coordinate with sales on vessel design, drawing production and release to meet production schedule.
  • Understand and implement materials and rules for ASME Code pressure vessel construction.
  • Understand and implement rules for EI Qualification requirements.
  • Understand and implement requirements of fabrication shop and inspectors.
  • Understand ASME Code welding, NDE and testing processes.
  • Understand pressure vessel cleaning and painting processes.
  • Understand aviation and industrial market requirements for pressure vessel construction.
  • Confer with supervisor, team members, sales, suppliers, and customers to coordinate activities.
  • Recommend methods and measures to improve equipment performance and quality of product.
  • Input of items and parts to build out Accurate BOM
  • Assemble O&M manuals and final documentation for vessels and systems.
  • Maintain good relationships with Customer Service, Application Sales, and Engineering teams.
  • Provide technical support to Customer Service, outside customers, quality control and production.
  • Provide technical support to inter-company offices related to vessel design.
  • Analyze and resolve problems.
