The Senior Manager of Business Process Excellence will lead initiatives to optimize operational processes and drive continuous improvement across the organization. This role focuses on designing and implementing sustainable process improvements and ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in process analysis, reengineering, and operational excellence, delivering measurable business results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related scientific field or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.
  • Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business process improvement, operations, or a related field, with at least 1 year in a leadership or senior role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex projects.
  • Proficiency in process mapping software (e.g., Visio, Lucid chart) and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must have ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • This is a Hybrid-Remote role – 11800 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC 27513.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US unrestricted – This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within the biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or a highly regulated industry is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and analyze existing operational processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, repeatable, and measurable process improvements using industry best practices and benchmarking.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure processes are aligned with business priorities and deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor process health and operational effectiveness.
  • Provide clear, data-driven updates and recommendations to senior leadership on process performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by partnering with business leaders and teams to identify and execute optimization opportunities.
  • Oversee and mentor project teams, ensuring accountability, alignment, and successful delivery of process improvement initiatives.
