About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior MRP Master Planner to lead and continuously improve our materials planning function. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely availability of materials to support sales orders, production schedules, optimize inventory levels, and align with sales forecasts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a cross-functional environment and drive planning efficiency, system enhancements, and operational excellence across the supply chain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Data Analytics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in materials planning or supply chain management
  • Advanced experience with MRP/ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred; SAP or Oracle also considered)
  • Strong knowledge of demand planning, inventory management, and production scheduling
  • Proficiencyin data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI; experience with advanced planning systems is a plus
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to collaborate across departments and lead planning initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly to change

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of MRP planning parameters, policies, and best practices
  • Manage and refine tools to effectively handle sales forecast data, BOM structures, and material flow across operations
  • Convert sales forecasts and production plans into actionable material requirements through ERP/MRP systems
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels, avoiding both shortages and excess, through proactive analysis and coordination
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Production, Engineering, and Sales Operations to align material readiness with sales, and production schedules
  • Review and adjust MRP outputs in response to demand fluctuations, supply issues, and engineering changes
  • Develop and maintain long-range materials planning models that support strategic business objectives
  • Own and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in alignment with business priorities and constraints
  • Analyze planning KPIs (inventory turns, service levels, forecast accuracy, supplier performance) toidentifyimprovement opportunities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on MRP systems and planning processes; mentor junior planners and contribute to systems/process upgrades
