Role Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and operationally minded Senior Planner to lead hours planning and workforce modeling across our fulfillment and pharmacy operations. This role will serve as the authoritative owner of hours modeling logic, productivity assumptions, and workforce capacity translation. The Senior Planner will partner closely with Business Analytics, Operations, Recruiting, and Finance to ensure that forecasted demand is translated into accurate, defensible weekly hours targets grounded in standardized assumptions. This role requires strong analytical rigor, operational intuition, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders through data-driven reasoning.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in at least two of the following: Workforce planning, Capacity planning, Production planning, Supply planning, Demand planning, or Operations analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Merchandising Planning, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience working with ERP systems, planning systems, or replenishment systems preferred
  • Strong experience building and maintaining hours or labor models, including translating operational workflows into structured planning assumptions
  • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets proficiency, including data manipulation (Lookups, PivotTables, external data connections, scenario modeling, complex logic)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely across cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to think through complex planning problems and resolve trade-offs that arise from balancing multiple operational priorities
  • Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized, with demonstrated ability to structure ambiguity and drive disciplined planning processes
  • Demonstrated ability to organize resources, analyze alternatives, and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Nice To Haves

  • Basic to intermediate SQL experience preferred; experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own the framework for converting forecasted demand and production volume into required labor hours, including productivity assumptions, indirect labor definitions, and structured governance of model updates.
  • Calculate and publish defensible weekly hours targets by department and site, ensuring transparency of inputs, assumptions, and capacity risks.
  • Lead deep analysis of Planned vs. Actual hours performance, distinguishing model gaps from execution gaps and continuously improving forecast-to-hours accuracy.
  • Serve as the primary labor modeling partner to Operations, Recruiting, HR, Learning, and Finance, aligning on hiring ramps, capacity implications, and structured labor signal outputs.
  • Partner with Business Analytics to evolve proof-of-concept models into scalable, well-defined reporting solutions as the organization grows.
