About The Position

The Senior Analyst plays a critical role supporting Used Vehicle Sales, Pricing, and Inventory strategy within the Finance Operations team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Pricing and Inventory, this role focuses on delivering analytical insights that enhance decision making, operational effectiveness, and financial performance. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with advanced analytical capabilities, translating complex data into clear recommendations for leaders across the organization. This individual will support executive level decisions, partner cross functionally, and help drive a disciplined approach to inventory optimization, pricing strategy, and profitability management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and business problem‑solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (modeling, scenarios, dashboards, automation with formulas/macros/pivots).
  • Working proficiency in SQL for pulling and validating data (1+ year experience).
  • Experience interpreting operational/financial data and providing business‑oriented recommendations.
  • Ability to influence and communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including senior leaders/executives.
  • Proven success operating in cross‑functional environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in automotive, retail, pricing, inventory management, or operational finance.
  • Proficiency with Power BI or similar BI visualization tools.
  • Experience with Python and/or R for data analysis and modeling.
  • Strong financial and operational analysis skills, including: Variance analysis (volume, mix, price, margin, cost, aging, etc.) Root cause identification and decomposition of performance drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales, pricing, inventory, and operational performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Convert complex data into executive‑ready insights that guide pricing decisions, inventory strategy, and financial outcomes.
  • Support financial modeling tied to volume forecasting, margin expectations, acquisition strategy, reconditioning performance, and stock health.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance reporting tools and dashboards (primarily in Excel and Power BI) to track key KPIs such as pricing competitiveness, turn rates, stock levels, and gross margin performance.
  • Deliver concise summaries to leadership with clear recommendations and business implications.
  • Ensure reporting is timely, accurate, and supports fast paced operational decisions.
  • Partner with Used Vehicle leadership, Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams to align strategies and improve decision quality.
  • Support development of used vehicle acquisition strategies, inventory mix planning, and pricing approaches.
  • Engage with field operations and store leadership to ensure analytics translate into actionable business execution.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data workflows and improve consistency across Pricing, Inventory, and Operations.
  • Work with IT/Data teams to enhance data quality and usability of proprietary systems.
  • Automate recurring reports and dashboards to improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency.
