We are looking for a Sr. Principal Product Integration Engineer to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Director, Advanced Manufacturing and will be based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week. We are seeking a highly skilled Product Integration Engineer to drive, DfX / DFM / NPI readiness and materials / process development for current and future products, ensuring smooth product to equipment integration and scalable manufacturing. This role requires a proven track record in equipment and process development, and integration within R&D and manufacturing environments.

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in applied science or related or related engineering field.
  • 10+ years or equivalent of experience in equipment and process development, and integration for R&D and manufacturing.
  • Proven experience in leading equipment development projects.
  • Experience with equipment suppliers management and process stabilization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10-20%.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-volume thin ceramics, solar, and battery manufacturing is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the new process development, test, and launch of proprietary equipment.
  • Lead the DfX / DfM and Product integration functions for the AME team
  • Collaborate with process and design and NPI teams to develop and integrate process specifications.
  • Oversee equipment build and test processes, including POC's and other experiments to ensure new equipment meets all targeted specifications
  • Ensure process capability throughout development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with remote engineering teams and suppliers.
