About The Position

The Product Manager will develop multi-generational product strategies and guide planning for future positioning, growth, and development of disruptive advancements in biologics. This includes assessing and prioritizing customer and market requirements, working with strategic collaborators, research & development, operations and the wider commercial team to deliver differentiating and innovative products. The product manager is ultimately responsible for revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and market share objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, engineering or associated scientific field required.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in the life sciences related field, specifically biopharma, biologics, protein sciences, or antibody discovery
  • 5+ years in product management, marketing, or commercial positions

  • Ph.D., MBA, or other advanced degree highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Product Roadmap: Build and maintain the quarterly and yearly product roadmap, specifically addressing unmet market needs and emerging trends at the intersection of DNA synthesis and protein solutions with a focus in biologic products and therapeutic modalities
  • Proof-of-Concept Studies: Lead R&D, Tech Transfer, and Operation teams to design and oversee the validation of new biologics-driven applications, ensuring technical feasibility and market alignment.
  • Product Requirements and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver detailed technical requirements, simplifying complex interfaces into user requirements and product specifications for biologic workflows
  • KPI Management: Set, track, and optimize main KPIs for segments within the biologic portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with resource constraints.
  • Competitive Landscape Analysis: Perform ongoing competitive and market analyses to identify key players, emerging technologies, and shifts in biotherapeutic industries.
  • Market Trend Identification: Incorporate feedback and input from customers and partners to identify emerging trends at the intersection of DNA synthesis and protein solutions, ensuring the product roadmap remains ahead of the market.
  • Benchmarking and Positioning: Provide critical input to partnership and collaboration opportunity assessments by evaluating the competitive and technical strengths and weaknesses of potential partners.
  • User Research: Conduct in-person user testing, interviews, and Voice of Customer (VOC) research to support new business development and refine the product strategy including pricing and product positioning
  • Industry Representation: Represent the organization at industry conferences and technical forums to promote thought leadership and new application areas
  • Sales Enablement: Empower global commercial teams with collateral development and tools, including sales decks, research plans, quote templates, and case studies specifically tailored to antibody discovery and biologic applications.
  • GTM Support: Collaborate with Marketing to execute Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies for New Product Introductions (NPIs) to generate demand and inbound leads for the antibody discovery services portfolio.
