About the position

As a Sr. Product Manager - Business Deposits Support at BECU, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products by driving strategic vision and execution across complex business functions. You'll take ownership of product roadmaps and lead efforts that directly impact our members' experience. Your ability to blend research, design, and business strategy will ensure that we continuously evolve to meet member needs while contributing to BECU's success. Through your leadership and deep product expertise, you'll drive innovation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and inspire change that leads to meaningful results.

Responsibilities

  • Define and Lead Product Vision: Create and own the strategic direction for one or more complex products.
  • Drive Strategic Decisions: Guide decision-making processes for products by aligning them with organizational goals.
  • Define and Champion BECU's Value Proposition: Identify opportunities where BECU has a competitive advantage.
  • Lead a Member-First Culture: Drive initiatives to acquire new members and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Execute Product Strategy and Roadmap: Implement and manage product strategies that align with BECU's business objectives.
  • Develop Go-to-Market Strategies: Lead the design, implementation, and positioning of product offerings.
  • Own Product Deficiencies and Issue Resolution: Track, manage, and resolve product issues.
  • Maintain Compliance and Disclosures: Partner with legal, risk, compliance, and audit teams.
  • Support and Train Frontline Teams: Provide guidance and training to internal teams.
  • Develop and Manage Fund Availability Strategies: Create and oversee policies that optimize access to funds.
  • Optimize Hold Strategy: Evaluate and refine policies to enhance the member experience.
  • Innovate for Growth and Retention: Identify new ways to bundle and enhance services.
  • Manage End-to-End Product Flow: Oversee the entire lifecycle of the product.
  • Prioritize and Set Release Goals: Manage and prioritize product releases.
  • Track and Analyze Product Performance: Define and track performance metrics.
  • Communicate Across the Organization: Present ideas and data-driven insights.
  • Incorporate Insights and Refine Roadmaps: Capture feedback and lessons learned.
  • Own Product Lifecycle: Manage all aspects of the product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Build Vendor Relationships: Manage and nurture relationships with external vendors.
  • Collaborate Across Ecosystems: Work closely with internal teams and external partners.
  • Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Monitor the latest trends and apply industry knowledge.
  • Understand Member Needs: Infuse member insights into the product development process.
  • Manage Product Financials: Oversee product budgets and ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Share Information Across Teams: Foster a culture of transparency.
  • Provide Leadership and Mentorship: Offer guidance and support to team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technology, business, or related discipline required.
  • Minimum 7 years of product management, product development, product operations or equivalent experience within the Financial Service industry.
  • Experience working with Deposit Products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree.
  • P&L management/finance experience.
  • Previous experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
  • Self-directed and able to proactively identify business and customer needs.
  • Experience in managing highly effective cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience determining product marketing strategies based on voice of the member.
  • Experience managing and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills.
