About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to define and lead Grainger.com’s Guidance Experiences. You will own customer-facing experiences that help customers browse, evaluate, and confidently select the right products. This role owns Product Detail Pages (PDP), Category Pages, rich content modules, navigation systems, and end-to-end user flows that support browsing, decision-making, and action. You will guide customers through context and intent-aware experiences and recommendations. These surfaces are central to helping customers navigate a catalog of 1M+ products and complete purchases with confidence. You will set the strategy and roadmap across now, near, and next horizons, ensuring Grainger’s digital experience delivers the clarity, expertise, and helpfulness customers expect from our in-store experience. You will lead structured experimentation and ship thin slices to validate learning quickly while maintaining high execution quality and accountability. You will influence cross functional partners and stakeholders through clear narratives connecting product decisions to measurable business outcomes. This role partners closely with Search (which owns search results templates and typeahead), Merchandising, UX, Engineering, Analytics, and Platform teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact experiences. You will report to the Director of Product Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 7+ years Product Management or equivalent experience required
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-team product initiatives.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced ability to use data, experimentation, and insights to guide decisions.
  • Experience influencing senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in high-ambiguity environments.
  • Passion for developing others and elevating product practices.

Responsibilities

  • Structured Thinking: Owns and evolves product strategy for Guidance Experiences, establishing enterprise roadmaps across now, near, and next to drive advantaged customer outcomes at every stage. As roadmaps enter execution, ensure work is well-formed and clear for delivery partners.
  • Measurable Outcomes: Defines and monitors success metrics across the roadmap, making data-informed decisions in ambiguous environments, driving outcomes aligned to the product strategy and creating transparency and accountability across teams and stakeholders.
  • Communication & Storytelling: Influences senior stakeholders through clear narratives that connect product strategy to business outcomes, helping partners reason about tradeoffs and priorities.
  • User-Focused: Champions deep customer understanding and ensures data-driven insights drive prioritization and solution design, partnering with UX and Analytics on research as appropriate, and partnering with operational teams to assess and propose process changes needed to achieve business outcomes.
  • Creativity: Identifies novel opportunities and rethinks approaches to unlock new value for customers and the business leveraging market and Grainger understanding.
  • Win as One Team: Leads alignment across multiple cross-functional teams and business stakeholders, resolving conflicts and driving shared accountability.
  • Compete with Urgency: Balances speed, quality, and risk across initiatives to deliver maximum impact. Stays ahead of trends in adjacent technologies, competitive space, and customer needs and develop a clear strategy around how Grainger can win.
  • Talent Development: Coaches and mentors other product managers, raising product craft and execution quality.
