Job Overview The Senior Product Owner is a strategic leader responsible for delivering significant customer value by guiding the development and implementation of products that align with the company's vision. This role demands a strong focus on product ownership, strategic planning, and the leadership of large-scale implementations across the organization. The ideal candidate will effectively balance the needs of product development with advanced facilitative leadership to ensure efficient delivery and continuous improvement. This is a hybrid position, with 3 days per week in our Nashua, NH headquarters, depending on location.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development or management with a focus on Agile methodologies, feature delivery, and quality assurance.
- Strong leadership and team development skills, with experience in coaching and mentoring product owners.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in applying them to enhance product development processes.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering features on time and ensuring high product quality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Lead collaboration with Product Managers and Technical Product Managers to refine and prioritize the product backlog.
- Translate strategic goals into comprehensive user stories with clear acceptance criteria and actionable plans.
- Validate and ensure that the delivery of product features aligns with organizational objectives and satisfies customer needs.
- Champion and lead large-scale product implementations across the company, ensuring seamless integration and adoption.
- Develop and communicate a clear development plan, aligning with both customer needs and business goals.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure cohesive and efficient product development and implementation.
- Serve as the primary communication liaison between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring alignment with the product vision and implementation goals.
- Manage expectations throughout the product development and implementation lifecycle.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, addressing any impediments and outlining delivery timelines.
- Lead and mentor the development team in achieving high performance and continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence within the team.
- Encourage and lead the team in retrospectives to identify strengths, potential improvements, and strategies for effective change implementation.
