About The Position

The Senior Group Program Manager position supports a dynamic North American leisure group department at Direct Travel, a leading Virtuoso agency. POSITION IS REMOTE. It requires travel for group management.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and analytical skills.

  • Ability to lead strategic planning and key initiatives.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Leisure Travel or Hospitality Industry, with preferred experience in managing group travel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, and Outlook as well as a propensity to learn new programs
  • High level of detail orientation while being proficient at multi-tasking.
  • Strong quality control management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication. Demonstrate an ability to learn and adapt to changing procedures, methods or processes and assist in teaching others.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong strategic planning skills with forward thinking mindset.
  • Self-motivated learner committed to continuous improvement and process enhancement.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US or Canada and have unrestricted work authorization for US or Canada
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Teams and SharePoint

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the North American Leisure Groups Management Team to achieve team and company objectives.
  • Manage Cvent website development, registration and attendee management.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to manage marketing and business strategies to drive sales and optimize revenue growth.
  • Provide client engagement support with group programs.
  • Identify new group prospects and prepare proposals.
  • Coordinate and manage team schedules, keeping track of delivery and payment deadlines.
  • Update and maintain group departures manifests on intranet to assure up-to-date information including campaigns.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
  • Support the leisure group team as required.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended workdays and occasional weekends.
  • Proven track record of success in driving growth and empowering teams to create personalized experiences.
