About The Position

Project Manager The Project Manager is expected to develop and maintain a client base, manage Process Piping Projects, and coordinate the field labor needs for each project in conjunction with field leadership. The Project Manager will use judgment and discretion in representing our client. They are expected to demonstrate a high level of commitment and involvement in their work and in our client's business. Location: Phoenix, AZ

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in estimating, design, and/or management of Process Piping projects ranging from $50,000 to $25+ million.
  • Ability to operate independently and autonomously to achieve goals outlined by your supervisor.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity.
  • Proven ability to develop new business.
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills, with the organizational ability to successfully manage a high volume of issues.
  • Maintain a community presence in industry-based or community-based organizations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with Business Systems Software (JDE, IFS, BidTracer, FastEst, Bluebeam, Box, Smartsheet, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Perform all project management functions required to promote and finalize sales, including concept engineering, complete estimates, written proposals, and meetings leading to successful job completion.
  • Successfully manage contracts, including sales, estimating, procurement, and execution.
  • Coordinate field labor and installation sequencing between the customer and our client's field leadership.
  • Understand the financial aspects of each project.
  • Forecast, prepare budget projections, and control costs within agreed-upon limits.
  • Prepare letters, proposals, memos, contracts, change orders, and implement strategies to ensure sound business procedures and legal protection.
  • Oversee billing while maintaining a clear understanding of job costs.
  • Lead client meetings and develop contracts to finalize sales.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners.
  • Provide project coordination, leadership, and guidance for all departmental efforts, including Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, and Service, during project construction in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to special studies, committees, and initiatives as directed by your supervisor to advance our client's technical capabilities in engineering, planning, estimating, installation procedures, and related areas.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Consult with appropriate personnel, including Management and Department Heads.
  • Attend all Project Management, Sales, and Construction meetings.
  • Schedule and coordinate construction project kickoff meetings with department heads and supervisors.
  • Utilize internal resources to the fullest extent necessary to meet customer requirements.
  • Act as a mentor to individuals assigned by your supervisor.
  • Actively participate in recruiting, training, and coaching sales staff to support departmental initiatives and growth.
  • Perform other duties and special assignments as directed by your supervisor or upper management to accomplish mutually agreed-upon goals.
