About The Position

The Scheduler is responsible for overseeing scheduling support functions, serving as the primary point of contact for Irby’s project schedules. This role involves developing integrated project schedules, maintaining schedules regularly, updating progress with consistent reporting, enforcing standards and best practices, coordinating with counterparts for both owners and subcontractors, and providing functional scheduling to support project needs. The Scheduler will be responsible for managing and developing schedules in both MS Project and Primavera P6, supporting the Project Manager and construction teams by providing insights and analysis on progress and performance against these schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent work experience, or a combination of work and education, may be substituted.
  • Hands-on experience using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of construction means and methods with the ability to confirm schedule data matches corresponding field progress.
  • Ability to review and analyze project schedules to proactively identify changes to logic, schedule coordination needs, and upcoming risks/mitigations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience using Primavera P6 / P6 Enterprise, including but not limited to schedule development, resource loading, and import/export of supporting schedule files (MPP, XER, XLS).
  • Experience working with large, diverse, and remote project teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed and comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project as required.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external project teams to develop and integrate various project schedules.
  • Incorporate resources, costs, and quantities into the project schedule.
  • Adhere to and enforce requirements for scheduling functions internally and as per contract-specific requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for scheduling needs, working with subcontractors, site team members, the project services team, and project stakeholders as necessary.
  • Attend and facilitate meetings to discuss schedule requirements, updates, issues, concerns, etc.
  • Coordinate scheduling data with project controls data as needed for project and corporate reporting.
  • Mentor junior schedulers and project coordinators to enhance their scheduling capabilities.
  • Work with the leadership team to continuously improve project scheduling standards, reporting, and utilization of Primavera P6.
  • Perform other scheduling functions in support of Project Services and general project needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
