Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of purchasing experience preferred, depending upon formal degree or training
  • Good knowledge of food and inventory trends with a focus on operation while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment for the staff,
  • P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable
  • Experience with cash retail operations
  • Possess accurate data-entry skills, computer skills, and be detailed oriented with great organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food industry and/or purchasing strongly preferred.
  • Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
  • Must be willing to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities
  • Serv Safe certified highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Develop, initiate and communicate action plans to achieve account purchasing initiatives
  • Act purchaser for all food and catering activities
  • First point of support for purchasing questions
  • Vendor setup and management
  • Advise management on strategies to achieve purchasing compliance goals
  • Develop supplier diversity initiatives and track and monitor the results
