About The Position

The Senior Risk Consultant plays a critical role in delivering high-quality risk management services to HUB clients. Assists a company's senior management to identify, assess and monitor risks implicit in a firm's operations. Identify long term solutions and build the business relationship with the customer for the long term. Advise clients on how to confidently identify, quantify and reduce risk through tailored solutions, so that they can protect what matters most: people, property, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of risk management principles, safety regulations, and industry-specific exposures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with clients.
  • Excellent presentation and training delivery skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using risk assessment tools and technology platforms.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems quickly and effectively
  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
  • Professional designations or certifications such as ARM (Associate in Risk Management)
  • Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in risk consulting, safety, or insurance-related roles.
  • Experience and proficiency in conducting audits, developing service plans, and delivering client-facing presentations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Expert knowledge of technical and regulatory standards/requirements
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and HUB offices as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish language proficiency a plus
  • Prior people management experience a plus
  • Experience with Workers’ Compensation, Auto, and Property lines of insurance

Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments and audits for clients across various industries, identifying exposures and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Work with complex clients to understand needs and deliver and implement customized service plans and solutions aligned with client goals and industry best practices
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the client, partners, and all stakeholders.
  • Independently work with internal and external groups on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Develop/manage relationships with insurance carrier and vendor partners
  • Provide oversight of insurance carrier activities on client’s behalf
  • Grow consulting services business and drive client retention through participation in sales presentations and seminars on risk management topics to both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Identify, pursue and close fee-based projects
  • Coach other risk services consultants in their evaluations of client needs and in building client relationships
