About The Position

Senior Sensory Manager Purpose and Scope/General Summary: As a Senior Sensory Manager, you’ll take sensory leadership to the next level, owning strategic initiatives and collaborating with senior leaders to deliver cutting-edge insights. You’ll lead sensory research programs that directly influence product innovation and customer satisfaction while mentoring a growing team of experts.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Sensory Science, Poultry Science or similar field strongly preferred with 7+ years of sensory or consumer science experience.
  • Masters Degree in Food Science, Sensory Science, Poultry Science or similar field strongly preferred with 5+ years of sensory or consumer science experience.
  • 3+ years of management experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced expertise in sensory tools, statistical software and data visualization required
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale projects and influence executive decision making.
  • A track record of fostering high-performing teams and delivering measurable results.
  • Ability to travel about 25% of the time.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Own Sensory Strategy: Set the vision and direction for sensory research across the organization.
  • Build Excellence: Develop and enhance sensory methodologies to ensure competitive differentiation.
  • Mentor and Inspire: Manage and grow a high-performing sensory team, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, R&D, QA, and Sales leaders to align sensory objectives with business KPIs.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as the sensory expert for key customers, delivering insights that strengthen relationships.
  • Advance Innovation: Drive exploration of new technologies and approaches in sensory science.
  • Other duties as assigned
