About the position
Raptive is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to evolve and expand our Ad Code product. You will build high-performance JavaScript libraries that run in the browser and leverage your ability to interpret business requirements to deliver solutions that help our clients effectively monetize their traffic. You will actively participate in code reviews, documentation, testing, and performance considerations throughout the feature development lifecycle. You consider yourself an autonomous code contributor, and can deliver work with little or no guidance. You will come up with and suggest technical improvements as well as tactical process improvements. You seek to understand the business purpose behind the tasks at hand, through understanding customer personas and their workflows, as well as understanding company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Build high-performance JavaScript libraries that run in the browser.
- Interpret business requirements and deliver solutions for client monetization.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, testing, and performance considerations.
- Deliver work with little or no guidance as an autonomous code contributor.
- Suggest technical and tactical process improvements.
- Understand customer personas and workflows to align with company objectives.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of ad technologies, particularly Prebid.js and Google Ad Manager.
- Experience integrating SSPs into header bidding auctions.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience building JavaScript frameworks and utilizing the latest ECMAScript standards.
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript.
- Understanding of best practices and design patterns.
- High degree of ownership of the code and product.
- Passion for maintainable code, automated testing, and thoughtful software architecture.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects or major feature development from concept to launch.
Benefits
- Base salary range of $100,000-$180,000.
- Eligibility for additional incentive compensation.
