About the Team The team is responsible for creating amazing experiences for gamers, including Game Help, Trophies, and many others. We rely on developers who love to bring delight to players across the globe. Our team creates user experiences on PlayStation platform including the PS5 and the PlayStation App (iOS, Android). We work at a huge scale with over one hundred million Monthly Active Users on PlayStation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Equivalent industry experience will be evaluated.
Solid base in Computer Science, understanding of OOP, Data Structures, and Design Patterns.
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
3+ years of experience with designing and developing client applications, plus experience in services integration.
Strong programming skills using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, JSON.
Passionate about quality and writing clean, readable code that scales and performs well.
A collaborative teammate, a fast learner, with a positive and can-do attitude.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience with frameworks such as React and React Native.
Experience developing and debugging cross-platform applications for environments such as iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.
Strong knowledge of native development, eg Objective-C / Swift (iOS), Java (Android)
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for quality software.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience working with performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design principles.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience with React Native bridges and native integrations using Objective-C, Swift, or C++.
Experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, and containerization tools such as Docker.
Experience with server development in Java, Python, or other service development languages.
Curiosity about AI-assisted development tools or automation that improves developer productivity.
Experience working in Gaming, Digital Media Services, Device Software.
Experience working with a large multi-cultural team that values collaboration and inclusive professional conduct.

Responsibilities

Work as part of an Agile Scrum team to design and develop end-to-end React/React-Native/Javascript-based applications in the front-end as well as Java/JS/Graph QL in the backend. These applications will deliver high quality, engaging user experiences across desktop and mobile environments.
Ability to support and develop SDK/Sample Programs in native C++ code as needed
Ability to develop server components
Work closely with Product Owners and Product Managers to translate product requirements into well-structured, maintainable code.
Collaborate with teams from multiple functions to define and refine technical approaches that support performance, accessibility, and scalability.
Create design documents, incorporating feedback from subject matter experts across the department.
Continuously learn, experiment, and bring forward innovative ideas — participate in Hackathons and Café Days to help shape the future of PlayStation experiences.
Contribute to evolving engineering standards and advocate for clean, sustainable coding practices.
Mentor and support junior engineers.
