Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on ads performance optimization, supply–demand matching, or exchange integrations.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of supply, exchanges, and demand dynamics within digital advertising.
  • Apply working knowledge of data analysis and basic modeling (deep ML expertise not required).
  • Utilize experience extracting signal from noisy data and converting insights into tangible actions.
  • Leverage familiarity with ads inventory management and performance tradeoffs.
  • Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, including ML, Product, Creative, and Business stakeholders.
  • Thrive in ambiguous environments, making clear decisions from incomplete or messy data.
  • Communicate technical and business concepts clearly to both internal and external partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred direct experience working with publishers or external partners (e.g., X/Twitter, Pinterest).
  • Preferred experience in “control tower” or system-ownership roles, or familiarity with ML systems and creative optimization workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large-scale supply and demand data to uncover high-impact opportunities for performance optimization.
  • Determine and prioritize which supply paths deliver the most value, using data-driven frameworks and heuristics.
  • Improve supply quality through path-level optimization, lightweight modeling, and the development of simple, actionable mechanisms.
  • Define and implement clear processes to classify, monitor, and act on supply path quality.
  • Enhance supply–demand matching by designing smarter routing and prioritization strategies.
  • Serve as a key connector across Machine Learning, Creative, Product, Business, and Customer Engineering teams to operationalize and scale new ideas.
  • Partner with ML and Creative teams to improve the quality of inputs, ensuring collaboration rather than replacement.
  • Engage directly with external partners and publishers as a technical and business decision guide.
  • Own initiatives end-to-end: from identifying opportunities, proposing solutions, implementing changes, to measuring impact.
  • Translate ambiguous, messy data into actionable insights and decisions that ship to production
