About The Position

The Senior Staff Accountant-Grower Accounting provides operational accounting support within Controllership, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliations, and compliance. The role leverages ERP tools to improve data quality, cycle time, and control rigor, with unique responsibilities as outlined below. Requirements

Clear communicator; collaborative across Finance, IT, and Member Services.
Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive problem solver.
Ability to: Meet close deadlines and maintain control documentation.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3–5+ years of accounting experience with strong reconciliation and ERP skills (SAP preferred.)
Tolerate extended periods of sitting at desk.
Ambient noise is louder than a traditional office setting.

Responsibilities

Execute monthly close tasks: journal entries, reconciliations, and variance investigations.
Maintain documentation to support audit requests and internal controls.
Partner with IT through accounting leadership to improve automation and data quality.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across Controllership processes.
Process and reconcile grower/member payments, advances, notes, and equity transactions per approved program rules utilizing the grower accounting system, data warehouse, and other tools.
Manage financial inventory processes and analyze consumption for grower/member payments.
Produce and validate year-end member statements; coordinate corrections and member inquiries.
Maintain governed master data for member accounts; coordinate IT change requests and testing.
Track regulatory changes impacting grower accounting and support documentation updates.
Reconciliation accuracy and aging; on-time task completion.
Control exceptions and audit request turnaround time.
Automation improvements delivered (e.g., reduced manual entries).
