Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ Supervisory experience required.
  • Knowledge of basic math required.
  • Oral and written communication skills required.
  • Analytical ability for solving complex problems required.
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and elicit work output required.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in responsibility based on business needs required.
  • Willing to work any shift assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of pull systems / Kanban preferred.
  • Knowledge / experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of scheduling and inventory control systems and processes preferred.
  • APICS CPIM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a medium to large group of UAW employees.
  • Coordinate material and production mix requirements to meet production schedules.
  • Expedite the movement of raw material, in-process and/or finished goods.
  • Maintain safety and good housekeeping standards.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with other departments to meet production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Train, develop, and evaluate employees.
  • Frequent contact with others outside the work group.
  • Comply with terms of local and national agreements.
  • Meet budgeted cost targets.
  • Execute quality requirements.
