The right person for this role is motivated by exploring the place of water in smart homes, connected devices, and apps, inventing ways to more efficiently use water, improving water quality, and discovering how all of this fits into the kitchens and bathrooms of tomorrow. DFC has a successful history of bringing innovative products of a mechanical nature to market. We are now embarking on a journey of adding more intelligence, more capabilities, and more IoT connected technology to our products, and we need your help to do it!

Requirements

  • Candidates with a Bachelors of Science or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technology field are encouraged to apply.
  • 3+ years of hands-on in verifying complex end-to-end IoT enabled solutions and/or products.
  • Understanding of INCOSE
  • Experience with IoT products: Firmware (embedded software), Mobile and Cloud Applications (including front and backend applications), Connectivity (especially BLE, WiFi, and Thread), and Cybersecurity (including maintenance, updates, offensive/ penetration testing).

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and execute verification plans and test cases based on product specifications for complex IoT systems including embedded products, mobile devices, and the cloud.
  • Coordinate with the team to plan for any needed equipment necessary to validate the product.
  • As needed, help with product verification according to: Inspection, Analysis, Demonstration, and Test.
  • Execute various types of testing: functional, regression, performance, and acceptance.
  • Identify, analyze, and document defects; collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Generate detailed test reports and provide feedback to stakeholders.
  • Participate in design reviews to influence product quality early in the lifecycle.
  • Participate in the development of product requirements for the purpose of developing the verification plan simultaneously.
  • Support the development of P-Diagrams, DFMEAs, etc. to ensure proper verification coverage.
