Sr. Valve Engineer/Engineering Manager
About The Position
A valve manufacturer located in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a Sr. Valve Engineer and/or Engineering Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a highly-experienced valve engineer that can also operate as a team leader. Must be very experienced with valve applications and designs ranging from very basic to engineered-to-order. This role will lead a team with a focus on quick turnaround and sound designs that comply with industry codes and satisfies customer requirements. They will work with the sales team to present technical expertise to the customers and gain customer confidence to win orders. The ideal candidate will have a background working in a manufacturing environment and displays strong cross functional communication skills. Departments Key Working Relationships: Manufacturing, Sales, Commercial Operations, Planning, Purchasing, and Finance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering discipline
- Experience with SolidWorks
- Knowledge of ASME B16.34, API 6D & API 608, and industry standards for the valve industry
- Proficient in ERP and PDM systems
