Within our Insurance vertical, we provide customers with solutions and decision tools that combine public and industry specific content with advanced technology and analytics to assist them in evaluating and predicting risk and enhancing operational efficiency. Our insurance risk solutions help drive better data-driven decisions across the insurance policy lifecycle all while reducing risk. The Sr Visualization Associate is a highly visible role responsible for building and maintaining Power BI reports which provide insights across the organization and to our customers. The candidate must have strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate and influence across multiple teams within the organization. The candidate should possess basic understanding of following skills: Power BI functionality Microsoft/Azure SQL Scripting General Visualization Best Practices Presentation Development
Requirements
- Able to coordinate and influence across multiple teams
- 1-2 years of experience in business intelligence and familiar with data lifecycles
- Knowledge of data visualization tools, which includes a familiarity with Power BI or Tableau
- Functional knowledge of Excel and Power Point
- Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL queries, to include: All types of joins Aggregations Filtering data
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and deep dive data reviews
- Enjoys logically thinking through items and digging in to identify how to improve processes across the team
Responsibilities
- Develop a portfolio of internal facing Power BI reports to provide quick and accurate insights to our stakeholders
- Ad-Hoc data pulls as required by the business
- Implement best practices in all reporting and deliverables
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of the key drivers and opportunities within the business
