Stable Master - Denver Police Department
About The Position
The Denver Police Department is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Stable Master to join our team and take pride in the daily care, management, and well-being of our horses and facilities. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a barn environment, values organization and routine, and has a genuine passion for equine care. The ideal candidate will bring strong horsemanship skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to oversee feeding schedules, stall maintenance, health monitoring, and coordination with staff and veterinarians. Requirements
- Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
- One (1) year of experience working with horses and related facilities and equipment.
- This job requires driving. Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities
- Providing daily care to the horses
- Monitor the health of the horses, notifying medical personnel regarding any issues
- Administration of health care procedures prescribed by a veterinarian
- Observe all common safety practices associated with the care and maintenance of horses
- Maintenance of facilities and horse stables
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment by disposing horse manure from horse stalls
- Orders and stocks necessary items and supply for maintenance of horses and facilities
- Performs minor repairs and maintenance on transportation equipment for horses
- Performs general clerical functions
- Transporting and delivering equipment
